MSL has proudly partnered with the British Heart Foundation since 2011, initially securing the national reactive maintenance contract through competitive tender. Over time, our role has grown to cover more than 30 planned and statutory compliance services, from fire safety and electrical testing to water hygiene.

Following the 2020 pandemic, we supported BHF’s safe reopening by completing full certified chlorination across much of the property portfolio, which led to the addition of the L8 water risk assessment programme.

Working within the charity retail sector brings unique challenges: balancing compliance, cost efficiency, and minimal disruption to vital fundraising activity. Our flexible, people-first approach ensures BHF’s buildings remain safe, compliant, and fully operational nationwide.

MSL began working with New Look in 2011, winning the reactive maintenance contract for the Midlands region through competitive tender. After successfully delivering on performance and reliability, we were soon trusted with the Northern region too.

Our partnership has since expanded to include the national out of hours helpdesk Service, ensuring all stores across the UK receive seamless support once New Look’s own helpdesk closes each day.

We’ve also introduced planned and compliance services covering fire safety and electrical testing, providing a fully integrated maintenance solution that keeps New Look’s retail environments safe, compliant, and operational around the clock.

The Gym Group is a recent addition to MSL’s client portfolio, with MSL currently delivering building fabric reactive maintenance across their nationwide estate.
